Safire3 169 JYRO Safire 3 169 is a 169-square-foot, 9-cell elliptical sport main parachute canopy manufactured by JYRO (formerly known as Icarus Canopies by NZ Aerosports).
It is widely regarded as an ultimate mainstream all-rounder wing, ideal for beginners, intermediate jumpers, or conservative veterans.

Important Maintenance Notes
If you are looking at a used Safire 3 169, make sure to check JYRO Service Bulletin #20180301. This bulletin applies to Safire 3 canopies sized 169 sq ft or smaller built between February 2016 and February 2018.
It requires a quick rigger inspection to confirm the brake tab configuration sequence (1-2-3-5) and check that the lineset is updated to the current factory trim length.
(Note: While the Safire 3 is a legendary staple on dropzones, JYRO has since released its successor, the JYRO Safire 4, which updates the platform with cleaner aerodynamics.
